About Me

Hello, I'm Emily! I am a graduate student finishing my masters thesis, I have a BA in Linguistics and Publishing from Simon Fraser University. My thesis is on agricultural journalism and media literacy I am also a researcher on the connection between media and technology. My thesis will be available through Simon Fraser University in the Summer of 2025.  I am also a certified TESL and ESL teacher through SFU and have worked with various schools and colleges. My career is now within the agricultural sector working on media, print and digital content. I work with many programs and different forms of media such as web development, DIVI, Naviga, Constant Contact, Elementor, Square, Asana, Microsoft, Canva, SCOPUS and more. In my spare time, I run a book blog on Instagram @emmysbooknook and work on many other hobby projects such as creative writing, miniature building and mixed media art.
